Christel LAVERSANNE has always lived in artistic spheres, with a father who was graduated from the Paris Art School and uncles from the Rennes Art School.

She learnt several techniques from her Master Adek Zylberberg. She makes mainly oil paintings, and sometimes watercolours.

Flowers and botany are her favorite themes.

Living in Paris (14th district – Montparnasse), she has also a studio near Pont-Aven in Brittany, where she founds her inspiration for sea themes and Brittany landscapes. Her paintings were exhibited in Paris and in Brittany.

During her numerous trips abroad, she extended her artistic culture by visiting the greatest museums in the world. But she also loves visiting exhibitions and national museums as well.

Due to health issues, she stopped painting for several months in 2005, and as Matisse, she started afterwards a “second artistic life”. This corresponds to the period “through my window” paintings, with a new light coming from the gardens.

In 2011-2012, she kept painting the same themes, but with a Japanese style.

Since then, she keeps painting gardens and botany, but started painting Paris sites as well since her move to Montparnasse in Paris.
